Share The Knowledge
One of the reasons Facebook can be such an asset to do business online is due to the social atmosphere that thrives there. If you think about it, don't you naturally talk about things that you buy, or restaurants where you eat, or the place you bought your car or contracted with to clean your carpets. If you're happy with the result you get, you talk about it.
On Facebook, you post a picture and make a comment. Then someone else might reply to the comment and before you know it there is a whole stream of comments. If you talk about an object or a service, someone who is interested wants to learn more about them. How great is it for that business if they have a Facebook page set up and your friend can go immediately there to check it out.
There is a generally widespread feeling that when a person is on Facebook, they don't like to click on links that take them off Facebook. That's why it's important for the business to have a presence there. People tend to a lot so much time to Facebook per day, whether they are just looking around or in conversation with someone. It is much better received to stay within the Facebook confines if a link is clicked.
Here are some basics to getting started with a business Facebook page.
• Go to Facebook.com/pages/create.php and set up your page. Choose the category closest to your business type. Your profile picture should be your logo or something familiar to your customers.
• Take time with your about section to show best what your business is all about. Be sure to put a link to your website close to the beginning of your description so that it shows in the area before you have to click to see more.
• Enable ads on your page. You don't have to use them right away and you can go back later to set up the account. It is recommended to study about ads before buying so that you will get the best results without overspending.
• To edit your page, click on 'Edit Page' at the top right area within your 'Manage Page' area or inside your admin panel. When you post on Facebook, you are posting as your business and not your personal profile if you have one.
• Under the 'Manage Permissions' section, you can set up other administrators who have access to make posts or do various tasks on the page.
• There are apps that you can connect to your page to link to your social media accounts outside Facebook, and also that can help enhance the visitors to your page.
