According to the study, the tendency of searching online and buying offline is higher among urban respondents as 64 per cent of them use e-commerce websites to research on products that they are planning to buy offline, while just 20 per cent of non-urban respondents do so.
The trend is largely due to the consumer apprehensions of e-commerce transactions with 30 per cent consumers expressing concerns regarding the
product quality and 28 per cent fearing wrong product delivery, the study highlighted.
Commenting on the findings, Zinnov Market Expansion Director Praveen Bhadada said, "About two-third of population is currently using e-commerce websites to research on products, largely due to lack of availability of credit/debit cards, trust on the delivery part and the trust on what they will get as the final product."
On e-commerce market generally, Bhadada said, "
Consumer mobility is on the rise with 35 per cent consumers using mobility devices for e-commerce activities which lay a huge market for e-commerce players. What we have seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg and the e-commerce & mobility market is bound to
grow exponentially."

As police probe circumstances leading to Sunanda's death at a city hotel, the on-board fight points to differences that clearly persisted despite the couple's joint statement that claimed their marriage was intact.
This open display of differences between the couple, sources said, was seen by I&B minister
Manish Tewari, who sat across the aisle from the couple. Tewari boarded the flight at Mumbai where he had attended a function.
Piecing together details of what happened in the aircraft and at the hotel, police feel the Tharoors virtually fought non-stop for about 72 hours over
Tarar before Sunanda's death. "Differences had been brewing over six months but aggravated in the last two. She was extremely depressed and angry in her last three-four days," a source said.

Arvind Kejriwal is understood to have finalized his team of ministers that includes his trusted associate Manish Sisodia and five others to be inducted into his ministry that will be sworn in later this week.
Besides Sisodia, a former journalist who won from Patparganj constituency, the cabinet will include Rakhi Birla, the giant killer who defeated PWD minister Rajkumar Chouhan, Somnath Bharti (defeated Women and child development minister Kiran Walia) Saurabh Bhardwaj, Girish Soni and Satendra Jain, said Bharadwaj after a meeting with Kejriwal.
However, party sources said there could be changes before the team is finalized.
Kejriwal may be sworn in as chief minister at an oath-taking ceremony in Ramlila Maidan once President Pranab Mukherjee clears the lieutenant governor's proposal in this regard.

Ending the fortnight-long deadlock, the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday staked claim to form the government in the national capital with outside support from the Congress which it had trounced in the December 4 assembly polls.
After the political affairs committee (PAC) met this morning and decided to go with the results of the 'referendum' which overwhelmingly favoured the party taking the reins of power, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal met lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung and handed over him a letter staking claim to form government.
45-year-old Kejriwal, who was the party's face in the elections, will be the new chief minister who will be sworn-in at a public event in the Ramlila Maidan, the venue of Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement for a Janlokpal Bill.

Giving a new twist to government formation in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday set some new conditions for Congress and BJP before it can decide on forming a government, a move seen as attempts to fob off criticism that it was running away from taking responsibility.
Delhi lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung, whom AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal met, has said he will send a report to the President, an indication that he would tell the Centre that government formation will not be possible now.
Earlier, Kejriwal had given to Jung the copies of the letters he had written to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and BJP president Rajnath Singh seeking their views on a list of 18 issues that included ending VIP culture in the capital, audit of electricity companies and removal of MLA local funds scheme.

As uncertainty loomed large over government formation in Delhi following a hung verdict, Congress on Tuesday first indicated its willingness to back the Aam Aadmi Party but later taunted it saying Arvind Kejriwal should join hands with BJP to fulfil his promises to the people.
The mixed signals started with AICC general secretary in charge for Delhi, Shakeel Ahmed stating,"A number of senior leaders of Delhi are of the opinion that we should give unconditional support to AAP to form a government. They believe that we should extend outside support to it.
"But we are talking to MLAs from the state. Their opinion is very important. Once we take their opinion, we will apprise the party high command about it".

BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Monday dared Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to form a government with Congress support and fulfil "unrealistic promises" instead of avoiding power where it will be like a "fish out of water".
Slamming Arvind Kejriwal's one-year-old party for making "unrealistic promises" during assembly elections in Delhi, the leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha said it should fulfil its "exaggerated and unimplementable" manifesto.
On his latest Facebook posting, Jaitley sought to know if the AAP is merely a "freak phenomenon" or will be a lasting experiment. He said no clear answers could be given at the moment.

In elections seen as a "semifinal" before the 2014 Lok Sabha battle, the BJP retained Madhya Pradesh and ousted the Congress in Rajasthan. The Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) stunning show in Delhi pushed the Congress to a humiliating third spot, with the BJP looking set to take power despite lacking a clear majority.
The Congress and the BJP were in a cliffhanger neck and neck race in Chhattisgarh.
A humbled Congress, which had pitted its vice president Rahul Gandhi against the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the hectic election campaign, said it would "introspect" why it lost Rajasthan, was crushed in Delhi and why it couldn't dislodge the BJP in Madhya Pradesh.
"Our congratulations to those who have won in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan," said a despondent Congress leader Jayanthi Natarajan. "In Delhi, we accept the verdict and will examine the results. We will find out what has gone wrong."

All eyes will be on the fledgling Aam Aadmi Party as Delhiites vote on Wednesday in the assembly elections in which BJP is seeking to stop Congress from clinching a record fourth win.
The entry of Arvind Kejriwal's AAP has changed the dimension of the fight in the polls and it will be interesting to see whether the newbie will just be a "spoiler" or win some seats as predicted by opinion polls, riding on its anti-corruption plank.
The BJP had deployed a battery of top leaders including L K Advani, Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari who criss-crossed the entire city addressing scores of rallies asking people to "oust" the "corrupt" Congress dispensation.

The Narendra Modi factor will hardly help BJP's fortunes in Delhi, believes Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal who said that "even God can't save" the saffron party as it seeks to wrest power in Delhi.
"BJP ko Delhi mein Bhagwan bhi nahi bacha sakte, toh Modi kya bachapay enge (God can't save BJP in Delhi, what could Modi do)?" Kejriwal said during a press interaction here.
And, as the political atmosphere hots up in Delhi ahead of the December 4 assembly elections, Kejriwal responded to comments by chief minister Sheila Dikshit that he had no experience of governance saying that neither did she have any prior experience of running a state before coming to power.
But the AAP leader noted that Congress acknowledges he was a "honhar" (capable) candidate.
