QUOTES from the presentation ceremony:

Brendon McCullum after series win: This is the best series we've won. The manner in which we've sealed it is fantastic. Guys have worked really hard and are looking forward to Test series. Henry came in and bowled outstandingly well. We saw Hamish Bennett, Corey Anderson do well and some old hands in Ross Taylor do well. The Ross Taylor-Williamson partnership has allowed us to set totals we've wanted to. It's credit to Ross' hardwork that he puts in. Kane has gone from strength to strength for his age.

Dhoni after 4-0 series loss: I think throughout this series, NZ played very good cricket. Their new-ball bowling has been fantastic. They have taken games away from us in the middle-overs batting. They've done it in each and every game. For us it is important to improvise and adapt quickly. We are lacking in some areas. We don't need to worry about talent but need to back ourselves. It will be an interesting Test series. It will be a big test of characters for us. Good challenge for the batsmen.

Man of the Match Ross Taylor: "Its been a great series all-round, very consistent bowling and batting. The way Kane Williamson has played is brilliant, five fifties in a row is not easy. He's been outstanding. 300 on that wicket was going to be competitive and we bowled well. The way Henry's come in and bowled well is great. Four wickets on debut is no mean feat. The Test series will be a different ball game."

FACTOID: India's biggest ODI series losses:

5-0 against West Indies in October-December 1983

5-0 in WI in March 1989

4-0 in South Africa in November-December 2006

4-0 in New Zealand, Jan 2014

15:13 (IST) That's it! All over as Varun Aaron is the last man out, who is bowled after missing a yorker by James Neesham. India go down by 87 runs and lose the series 4-0. India manage 216 in 49.4 overs. Virat Kohli top scores with 82 and MS Dhoni struck 47, apart from that, Indians disappointed with the bat. Matt Henry was the best Kiwi bowler, taking 4 for 38 on debut. Kyle Mills and Kane Williamson took two wickets each. Earlier, Ross Taylor's 102 took the Kiwis to 303/5 and Williamson scored 5th consecutive fifty.

14:08 (IST) WICKET! Matt Henry takes his fourth wicket as Bhuvneshwar Kumar gives a simple catch to keeper Luke Ronchi, after miscuing a hook shot. India go 9 down with 89 needed of 6 balls!

13:58 (IST) 200 is up for India as tailenders Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohd Shami and bat out the full fifty overs. India need 104 more off 20 balls.

13:49 (IST) WICKET! Dhoni is gone and is that the final nail in the coffin? Trying to clear mid-off, Dhoni attacks Williamson but mistimes it totally for James Neesham to take the catch. Williamson has a second wicket. Dhoni made 47 from 72 balls with the help of 3 fours.

13:45 (IST) Dhoni waging a lone battle here as he runs out of partners. India 178/4, need 126 off 42 balls.

13:37 (IST) Another Wicket! Ravindra Jadeja is out, caught by Martin Guptill at the sweeper cover fence off Kyle Mills. Jadeja made 5. The left-hander stepped out to take the aerial route, had no timing on that shot, meaning a simple take for Guptill. India 174/7, need 130 more off 48 balls.

13:31 (IST) WICKET! R Ashwin walks back to the hut as he misses an off-break of Kane Williamson and is bowled for 7. India 167/6, need 137 more from 58 balls.

12:50 (IST) Kohli is beginning to gain momentum in the innings, trying to get one boundary every over. With in-form MS Dhoni settling down, it is boiling down to be a thrilling chase from now on.

12:45 (IST) Another milestone! Virat Kohli reaches his 30th half-century in ODI cricket. he reached it with a streaky four off James Neesham. India 108/4 (30 overs), need 196 from last 20 overs.

12:34 (IST) MILESTONE! Dhoni becomes fourth fastest batsman in ODI cricket to reach 8000 runs, in 214 innings. Only Soarav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara had reached the landmark faster than him.

12:27 (IST) WICKET! A third for Matt Henry, who removes Rayudu, caught by Kane Williamson at widish gully. Rayudu made 20 off 40. In comes Dhoni.

12:20 (IST) SIX! First of the innings and it is Virat Kohli, who dances down the track to James Neesham and cracks it over long-off. India

12:15 (IST) Spin for the first time, Nathan McCullum into attack. Rayudu finds the much-needed boundary as he rocks back and cuts it late past short third man for four.

12:10 (IST) New Zealand's fourth seamer is on now - James Neesham. But, starts off poorly with one bowled down the leg side and Kohli tickling it fine past long leg for four. Last ball of the over and Kohli drills it straight past mid-on for four. India 49/3 (18 overs), chasing 304.

12:00 (IST) FACTOID: MS Dhoni is one run away from registering 8000 ODI runs. If he reaches it today, he will become the fourth fastest batsmen in ODI history to reach 8000 runs, leapfrogging Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.

11:55 (IST) Matt Henry is making an impact in his first ODI as skipper Brendon McCullum has three slips in place for Rayudu, who is facing the debutant. India 39/3 (16 overs), chasing 304.

11:45 (IST) WICKET! Matt Henry gets his second! Ajinkya Rahane plays a horrible across-the-line stroke and misses. The ball thuds on to the pads and umpire raises the finger. Rahane made 2 off 10. India 30/3 (13.2 overs)

11:35 (IST)

Kane Williamson continued his brilliant run of form and missed out on a hundred after reaching his 5th consecutive fifty.

10:03 (IST) James Neesham shows why he was promoted up the order to No.6 instead of Ronchi by hitting Mohd Shami's first three balls of the final over for 6, 4 and 4 and Kiwis have 300 on the board.

New Zealand will go 'full throttle': Nathan McCullum

Having captured the series, New Zealand's Nathan McCullum has said that the hosts will go 'full throttle' in the final ODI and try to finish the series 4-0 at Wellington. He also said that he was thrilled by his team's ability to surprise ODI heavyweights India and warned his team of a backlash from the reigning champions. (Read)

Criticism from all over

Following their third loss in the series at Auckland, NDTV expert Sunil Gavaskar blasted the idea of a couple of changes that were made in the game. He felt that using Virat Kohli as an opener was ridiculous and went on to say that this side will not be able to defend their world cup a year later. Ex-Kiwi pacer Simon Doull too questioned India's reluctance to change and said the desperate moves in the previous ODI did not work out well. Meanwhile, Indian skipper MS Dhoni has lashed out at his fast bowlers, asking them to use their heads in conditions suitable to their style of bowling. (Read here)

Playing for pride

After conceding the five-match ODI series to New Zealand 3-0, MS Dhoni-led India will play to salvage some pride and find their first elusive victory on the tour in the fifth and final ODI before plying their trade in white flannels. Despite Jadeja's efforts in the third ODI at Auckland to help India secure a tie and keep them alive in the series, they lost the fourth in Hamilton to give the hosts an unassailable lead. In the fifth ODI at Wellington, India will walk out in the hope to get off the mark in the series. (Read Preview)
