How to Impress Her on Facebook
Share The Knowledge
While it is always advisable to walk up to a girl and get her talking to you and let things flow, sometimes (ok, most of the time)
you need to build an impression even before you try and strike a face-to-face conversation. Think of it as a comfort-building step. With social networking sites like Facebook, it is even more easy to approach that girl you want to connect with. Read on to discover ways to impress her even before meeting her.
Get over yourself
Aristotle, Socrates, Benjamin Franklin and Einstein and the kinds said whatever you are quoting on Facebook, years ago. And like you, despite what you may believe, others can actually google that too. Follow a golden rule: unless its something you want to shout it out in public, DON’T post it. Also, go easy on those bathroom-mirror-shady-self-portraits.
Random Tagging is not cool
Everyone, I repeat, everyone goes to movies, local ice-cream parlors and they kind of know about the experience too. Tagging random people in your everyday posts goes on to show that either you are a freak or you have never been out of your cave.
The 'always-connected' thing is over rated
If you are projecting green light every minute of the day, it makes people wonder if you actually have friends. And if you are always available, people tend to take you for granted. When a woman is involved, it can pretty much spell doom on your plans for that elusive coffee date in near future.
Try not to pretend
The saying about the internet is, the more you use it to be on social networking sites, the lesser exciting life you have in real world. The biggest reason could be people pretending to be someone else. Expectations rise and during a face-to-face encounter, being fake comes off as a major deal breaker. So, as irresistible as it may seem to be, try not to fake.
No one is dying to know the score, so relax!
people who have chosen to use the Internet at the match time have done so for a reason, which, I am guessing, could be because they DON’T want to see it. In unrelated stats, 75% of Indian homes have TV. So it turns out, you don’t have to play savior by updating everyone with scores or how excited you are about the match with extra exclamation marks.
For conversations, use IMs/private chats
Arguing on the Internet, is like banging your head on a wall. There is no winning. Having an opinion is good, but rejecting all other notions is a little hard. To add to it, fighting it all out in the open (on your wall) goes on to show you have never heard of private chats. Take it offline if you feel so strongly about the issue.
While these steps can help you make a good impression, you will eventually have to walk up to her to talk it out. So make sure you have got your tracks covered. One you've made a positive impression on her on Facebook, try and do things offline as much as possible. After all, it's time to get real.
