Body-con pieces: Body-con is sexy for obvious reasons it gives you an instant hour-glass frame. Blur the lines by layering a sheer pussybow blouse over a bustier and pencil skirt. Add towering heels, chunky cuffs, gauzy wraps and bold necklaces, to give movement to the look.
Sexy fabrics: Think touchable fabrics like silk, satin and lace. Work a delicate lace dress with pumps, throw on a raw silk cocoon coat with bracelet sleeves and tuck an oversized clutch under your arm. Or wear a crinkly silk blouse with skinny denims and a velvet blazer to create a subtle, yet fash-forward look.
Nude colours: Wearing nude colours is the closest you can get to being in your own skin. Opt for nude pumps and strappy heels (they'll help lengthen your legs); try a floaty flesh-toned dress (instantly sexy!), or swipe on some nude lipstick (the colour makes lips look fuller).
Try red: Red signals power, passion and pleasure. Go all out with red dresses, skubes and floor-sweeping gowns. Just add smokey eyes with lashings of mascara and killer shoes. Not the type to wear siren-red? Go for the rich jewel tones of garnet or ruby, teamed with simple make-up for an elegant yet sexy look.
Hot leather: Leather is sexy because it has such a wicked feel to it. Opt for leather cigarette pants or a leather pencil skirt with a feminine blouse. Leather gloves accentuate bracelet sleeves; cropped jackets add edge to a LBD.
