The story of Maharashtrian vada pav seller turned crorepati is blowing up across the net. Ulhasnagar resident Prem Tejumal Gurudasani was earning only 150 bucks a day, not enough to provide for a wife and kids. Now, within months he is scheduled to be worth Rs. 7 crore. He struck gold in his grandfather's inheritance, which left him and his siblings property worth a total of Rs. 35 crore.He told Mid-Day:  "I have been living in acute poverty. I have sold vada pav at the tea stall for the past ten years. I started with Rs. 80 a day and now I get Rs. 150 as my daily wage. Because of my low income, I had regular fights with my wife and she walked out of the house with my two kids nearly three years ago."

The question is - should he take his wife back? We understand that poverty led to this separation. No wait, we don't. Flip the genders, and suddenly it will make sense. If a man leaves his wife when she is poor, he is literally a monster in the eyes of society. 

So why not the other way around? Wherever it is she went after leaving him, she surely had a better lifestyle? Why not help out your husband, woman?  What this guy needs to spend a bit on (other than a high tech vada pav machine, if those exist) is to lawyer up with a prenuptial agreement of some kind. Then he'll truly be our hero, not just another "mah wyf iz mah lyf" loser.
